The Furushima brothers grew up fighting over the family computer. In 2013 they turned that passion into DBAFurushima; in 2024 it became Furushima; and today they deliver FuruFlow, the platform born from years on call.

A family passion
It all started long before the company. As kids, Carlos and Matsuo Furushima fought over the family computer and turned that curiosity into a craft, studying and working together from an early age. Technology was always a family affair.
Forged on the front line
Then came the road. The brothers built their careers at technology heavyweights such as IBM, UOL and TIVIT, supporting databases, infrastructure, operating systems and appliances under outsourcing contracts for clients of every size. Those were years of migration, performance tuning and work under real pressure, and Carlos joined the ranks of Brazil’s first Oracle ACEs.
DBAFurushima is born
Carrying the experience of large-scale operations, the brothers decided to serve clients their own way and founded DBAFurushima to work with the companies they had already worked alongside. No middlemen: the specialist who solves the problem became the same person who answers the call.
Solid foundation, total focus
With a mature operation, Furushima became the center of everything. The portfolio grew beyond Oracle to cover the market’s leading databases, bringing the same technical depth to SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB.
DBAFurushima becomes Furushima
Much more than a new name. The firm went from being known only for databases to embracing DevOps, Protheus and Cloud as true fronts, with automation, delivery pipelines and infrastructure as code underpinning the operation. Same team, same technical DNA, a whole new level.

Years on call became a product. FuruFlow is the first predictive environment tool built for databases: it anticipates the problem, points to the cause in plain language and delivers a daily diagnosis of your database fleet. The same managed support as always, now with foresight.
